This is How We Fly

Formed in 2010, This is How we Fly are a group that fuse traditional Irish music, Swedish folk, jazz, and percussive dance into something utterly unique. Their second album Foreign Fields follows their critically acclaimed eponymous debut from 2013. The intervening years have seen the group, comprised of Caoimhiìn Oì’Raghallaigh (fiddles), Seaìn Mac Erlaine (woodwinds, electronics), Nic Gareiss (percussive dance), and Petter Berndalen (drums), perform and tour throughout Europe and USA. Their live performances range from highly nuanced original material drawing on each of the musicians’ considerable craft to steady building grooves that nod to techno and contemporary electronica.
