WALK THE CAMINO FOR BREAKTHROUGH CANCER RESEARCH

WALK THE CAMINO FOR BREAKTHROUGH CANCER RESEARCH

Join the Camino de Santiago to Support Breakthrough Cancer Research

Are you ready to embark on a journey that will take you through beautiful landscapes, connect you with inspiring people, and make a real difference in the lives of people with cancer?

Join us on the Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago this June, 2025, to raise vital funds for cancer research and support groundbreaking work that brings hope to countless families.

What to Expect on Your Camino Adventure
From June 13th to 20th, 2025, we invite you to walk the picturesque Portuguese Way, a cherished pilgrimage route that stretches from the coastal town of Baiona in Spain to Santiago de Compostela, where pilgrims have gathered for centuries.
As you walk through vibrant vineyards, charming villages, and breathtaking coastal landscapes, you’ll be part of something much bigger – a community of people walking in support of cancer research.
The route has daily walks ranging from 16km to 26km, offering a perfect mix of challenge and relaxation. Along the way, you’ll experience the deep culture of Galicia, connect with fellow walkers, and feel the support of your community as you raise essential funds for Breakthrough Cancer Research.

The Camino isn’t just a walk – it’s a chance to reflect, create lasting memories, and contribute to something really meaningful.
Why Walk for Breakthrough Cancer Research?
Each step you take will help fund cancer research right here in Ireland – work that is at the forefront of developing new, better, kinder, smarter treatments and diagnostics for people with cancer.
Our commitment to making more survivors of cancer is unwavering.

By walking the Camino, you’ll be joining that mission and bringing real hope closer to the people who need it most – our family, friends and community.
How to Get Involved
Interested? Here’s how you can be part of this incredible journey:

  1. Register: Secure your place by registering for the walk. There’s a €300 registration fee to get started.

  2. Fundraise: Aim to raise a minimum of €1,500 before departure. We are here to help you meet your target. Let us know if you need any help or advice.

  3. Prepare for the Journey: Join our pre-trip information evening to meet fellow participants, ask questions, and learn more about the research you’ll be supporting.
