When the dust settles and the clouds part - Panel Discussion - May 27

When the dust settles and the clouds part - Panel Discussion - May 27

Join Ingenium for a panel discussion on a post covid world, with special guests David McWilliams, Mary Harney & Hugh O'Donnell.

Covid 19 has changed the way we work and live forever, it has pushed the boundaries and as humans always do, people have adapted to a new way of life. When the dust settles on what has been an extraordinary period of history, and the clouds part, what will our society and economy look like? How should governments respond? and, Where are the new growth areas and opportunities be found in this new world?

In this highly engaging event, world-renowned economist David Mc Williams, former political titan Mary Harney, and internationally respected businessman and investor Dr. Hugh O’ Donnell will discuss this topic and answer your questions and queries.

At Ingenium we believe in preparing for the future of business, whether you are planning for a digital transformation, getting your team aligned with your strategic goals, or assessing how the macroeconomic environment will impact on your organisation’s performance. We hope that this event starts the discussion on where we are going to be and where we want to be in the future.

David McWilliams

David McWilliams is an economist, author, journalist, documentary-maker and broadcaster. He is Adjunct Professor of Global Economics at the School of Business Trinity College Dublin. David is ranked 10th most influential economist in the world. He has devoted his entire professional life to the objective of making economics as widely available and easily understandable on as many platforms and to as many people as possible –and is having a laugh doing it.

Mary Harney

Former Tánaiste Mary Harney completely re-imagined her career after retiring from politics. She is now the director of a number of private companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, and financial services sectors. She provides advisory services to a range of companies in these fields. She was notably the longest-serving female Government minister and TD (Member of Parliament) in the state's history. In 2018, she took up the role of Chancellor of the University of Limerick.

Hugh O’Donnell

Dr Hugh O'Donnell has over 30 years' global experience across multiple sectors, from financial services to energy. Hugh is the director of MACX3 Investments, a company that manages a range of high potential investments from start-ups to structured products and emerging market funds. His background as CEO of Kentz Group with a revenue turnover of $2 billion and his interest in human capacity within organisations makes him an ideal investor in the growth areas of Ingenium. Hugh is recognised as a leader in his field and was awarded the CEO of the Year by the London Stock Exchange.
