Cork-Based Enterprise Europe Network Team Recognised with Award for Outstanding Business Support
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Ireland has been awarded the prestigious “Best Agency Support to Business” title at the Chambers Ireland InBusiness Recognition Awards 2025, held today at Clontarf Castle. The award celebrates outstanding achievement in delivering high-impact, expert services to Irish businesses.
The Enterprise Europe Network Ireland, established in 2008, helps Irish businesses innovate and grow internationally and are delivered by a partnership between Enterprise Ireland, Cork Chamber, Dublin Chamber and the Local Enterprise Offices. Delivered locally in Cork through Cork Chamber, EEN Ireland provides free expert guidance to SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs seeking to grow, innovate and access international markets.
Conor Healy, CEO of Cork Chamber, welcomed the win, “This award reflects the exceptional work of the EEN Cork team in supporting local businesses to reach new markets and unlock European opportunities. It demonstrates the strength of our local-global approach and the power of collaboration in delivering tangible business results.”
Monica Valdes, Enterprise Europe Network Executive at Cork Chamber, added, “It’s an honour to be recognised. Every day we work alongside Cork businesses helping them expand, innovate and connect internationally. This award belongs to the companies we support, their ambition drives what we do.”
EEN Cork has been instrumental in enabling SMEs from the region to establish cross-border partnerships, access EU funding, and succeed on a global stage. As part of Europe’s largest SME support network, it offers free, tailored services in internationalisation, innovation, market access, EU funding, and collaborative growth.
Among the many Cork businesses to benefit from EEN support recently is Blade Bridge, an innovative firm repurposing decommissioned wind turbine blades into sustainable infrastructure, helping to close the loop between renewable energy and waste reduction. Meanwhile, 9 White Deer, an award-winning brewery in West Cork, used the EENergy grant support to improve operational efficiency through the installation of energy-saving technology and therefore significantly reduce its energy consumption.
The recognition of the InBusiness Award for Enterprise Europe Network in Ireland underscores Cork Chamber’s commitment to creating a thriving, future-focused business environment across the region. By supporting SMEs to scale, innovate and internationalise, Cork Chamber, through initiatives like the Enterprise Europe Network, continues to drive sustainable economic growth and ensure that Cork remains a dynamic and competitive place to do business.
