Cork Chamber, the voice of business in Cork, welcomed today's announcement by SE Systems that it will create up to 150 new jobs over the next two years as part of a major growth strategy, alongside a €3 million investment in its new headquarters in Cork.
President of Cork Chamber, Susie Horgan, commented on the announcement, "SE Systems' announcement is a fantastic vote of confidence in Cork as a place to invest and grow. SE Systems expansion reflects both the strength of its business and the opportunities that exist in the transition to a low-carbon economy. The decision to continue investing in Cork, while creating high-quality employment and building for future growth, is hugely welcome and reinforces our region's reputation as a location where ambitious companies can scale successfully."
Director of People Operations and Governance at Cork Chamber, Naoimh Frawley, added, "SE Systems is a valued contributor to Cork's vibrant business community. Their recent recognition as a finalist in the Cork Company of the Year Awards highlighted the company’s ambition and leadership and today's announcement is a demonstration of that vision being realised."
Concluding, Ms Horgan said, "As SDG Ambassadors, Cork Chamber recognises the important role businesses such as SE Systems play in helping Ireland achieve its decarbonisation ambitions. Growth in the clean energy and retrofit sector delivers far-reaching benefits for our environment, communities and economy, and we look forward to seeing SE Systems continue to lead and innovate from its Cork base for many years to come."
