CWS Workwear to build new laundry in Blarney Business Park
Major investment from CWS Workwear confirmed for Blarney Business Park
CWS Workwear, a leading European sustainable workwear provider, has taken a long-term lease in Blarney Business Park, which is being developed by JCD Group.
The new facility at Block 8007 will consist of 32,000 sq. ft of Grade A space and will involve an investment of €20m between the construction of the building and installation of the latest state-of-the-art equipment. The building is being built to achieve LEED Gold certification and BER A3 energy rating with construction work well underway and practical completion due in Q1 2026.
CWS Workwear, founded in 1899, are leaders in the workwear industry providing Workwear as a Service (WaaS) with customised, stylish, long-lasting and protective workwear. The company encompasses more than a century of innovation and service with operations spanning 15 countries with a dedicated team of 5,300 professionals across more than 100 locations. CWS Workwear’s infrastructure includes 30+ industrial laundries in Europe. This enables CWS Workwear to serve an extensive customer base of over 35,000 customers, providing their services to over 1.5 million people daily.

Blarney Business Park has become a well-established location for a variety of business types from transport and logistics to high value manufacturing and show room uses, serving both Multinational and indigenous occupiers. JCD Group has, in recent years, completed 440,000 sq. ft of new buildings in Blarney Business Park with occupiers including Merck, DHL, doTERRA, Nisbets, Park Place Technologies, FedEx and Paardekooper.
In addition, JCD Group has confirmed completion of the 20,000 Sq. Ft and 10,000 Sq Ft Blocks 8008 and 8009 which are designed to LEED Gold and BER A3 standard and are now available and ready for tenant fit out.
Construction of Block 8006 which extends to 57,500 Sq. Ft is due to commence construction early 2026. JCD Group, which has a long track record of delivering commercial buildings and business parks in Cork, is also onsite in Evergreen Business Park in Little Island where the first two buildings are now complete and construction of the third building E500 is due to commence in Q3 2025.
