Griffith College Cork is searching for employers interested in taking on Computing Science placement students

The Computing Science faculty at Griffith College Cork are searching for employers interested in taking students for work placement. Placement is due to commence anytime between now and the beginning of March 2025 for a duration of six months.

These students are in third year of their BSc (Hons) in Computing Science programme. More details on the course can be found here.

Profile of students:

• Ability to program (Java, Python, working knowledge of OOP and data structures)

• Capable of full stack web development (HTML, CSS, JS and PHP from scratch with SQL as DB backend)

• Good understanding of software development processes (system analysis and design, Git, GitLab, unit testing)

• Working knowledge of GUI toolkits (mainly Qt5)

• Familiarity with concurrent/multithreaded programming

• Can work with SQL based databases

• Working knowledge of Networks and Numerical Optimisation
