Hayfield Manor crowned the Supreme Winner at the prestigious Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards

Now in their 35th year, the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards are recognised as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry. Judged by industry experts, they reward excellence in hospitality across the island of Ireland. The winners were announced on Tuesday, the 28th of January at a gala awards ceremony at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway.

The Supreme Winner Award is the Irish hospitality industry’s highest accolade. The recipient of this award is chosen by the Gold Medal Awards judging panel following a review of all winning entries in the awards this year. The recipient of this award is an establishment that offers first-class hospitality, superlative customer experience and stands out from the other prestigious award winners as a result of their dedication to the highest quality standard.

Speaking following the announcement, Managing Director of Hayfield Family Collection, Michael Jacobi said; "This is an incredibly exciting time for Hayfield Manor, and we are thrilled to start the year with such remarkable achievements. These prestigious awards are a testament to our wonderful team’s unwavering dedication to excellence and our commitment to delivering genuine hospitality and an unparalleled guest experience. This recognition inspires us to continue striving for excellence in everything we do."

It was also a night to celebrate for their sister property, Great Southern Killarney, who picked up the Silver award for ‘Ireland’s Hotel Casual Dining Experience’.

The Gold Medal Awards marked the culmination of what had already been a wonderful week for Hayfield Manor, which saw Reception Supervisor, Nathan Sweeney, named the 2024/25 Irish Hotels Federation Cork Branch Employee of the Year.
