McKechnie Cleaning Services win Best Large Business at the Cork Business Association Awards

McKechnie Cleaning Services were honoured to win the award of Cork's Best Large Business at the CBA Presidents Dinner and Awards Night.

The award, chosen by an independent judging panel and more than 15,000 public votes, saw McKechnies named the Best Large Business. A family-owned business with a heritage spanning 150 years, the firm has evolved into a leader in the Contract Cleaning Sector and is a National Distributor of Numatic Cleaning Equipment.

McKechnie Cleaning Services is over 150 years old and in its 5^th generation. The business has evolved over those years from dry cleaners to currently being a leader in contract cleaning and the national distributor of Numatic machinery, with its most recognisable machine being the Henry Vacuum.

The family name is recognisable throughout Cork with previously having premises in Patrick’s Quay, Patrick’s Street, Wainsford Street, Douglas and agencies throughout Cork, until its relocation in 2006 to a 10,000 square foot premises in Little Island, where it now still operates from.

As contract cleaners, we service many leading companies throughout Cork and Limerick in the maintenance and cleaning of their premises. We have staff managing and servicing each premises by making sure cleanliness and Health and Safety is paramount.

We play a key role in the success of Pharmaceuticals, Education, Sport Bodies, Office Buildings and Manufacturing. For pharmaceuticals our staff sanitise their production rooms where drugs are manufactured. 

Being the National Distributors of Numatic Equipment, we have built a business whereby we distribute and service Numatic cleaning equipment throughout Ireland. Numatic products include scrubber dryers, buffers and the familiar Henry vacuum which is seen in most households, hotels and commercial buildings.
