Barnardos Work in Cork - Creating Communities of Change with Barnardos
Families that Barnardos support are most at risk and vulnerable to continued and escalating life challenges. All it takes is one significant trauma or a negative life event to prompt the need for some additional support. Barnardos are proud to provide support services for the last 25 years in Cork for a child or a parent when they need it most.

Every day, Barnardos staff work to provide a range of services in our 3 services centres in Knocknaheeny, Mahon & Youghal and our office in Meade St, Cork City, supporting the Cork community and surrounding counties in Munster too.
Our Brighter Future Centres in Knocknaheeny provides Early Intervention Services for children under 5 years of age, who have behavioural issues or may not be making their developmental milestones and need additional supports before they start school.

The service also provides practical parenting courses, therapeutic intervention for interparental conflict and other family support services.

Our Youghal Family Resource centre is a newer initiative providing children and parenting workshops,  afterschool for children, summer programmes, family support, support for Ukrainian & IPAS families.
