Quintas Capital today announced a €2.27 million investment into The Hive, a new indoor sports and wellness facility due to open this week at Monahan Road, Cork. The investment, which formally closed in September, marks the final deployment from the 2024 EIIS Fund, in which Quintas Capital invested just under €8 million. It represents a strategic commitment to The Hive as it prepares to become Cork City’s first fully indoor padel centre.

The Hive project will transform a 19,000 square foot warehouse into a state-of-the-art five-court indoor padel club, featuring premium amenities such as wellnessspaces, recovery rooms, social areas, a café and retail space creating not just a sports venue, but a community hub for Cork residents.

Padel a fast-growing sport across Europe has seen rising demand in Ireland,and The Hive is positioned to meet this appetite locally, offering players of all levels a high-quality, indoor facility.
“We believe The Hive is more than a venue, it’s a long-term investment in Cork’s community and lifestyle,” said Kevin Canning, CEO of Quintas Capital. “Our €2.27 million injection reflects our confidence in the management team’s vision and in the growth potential of padel and wellness-led leisure in Cork and beyond.”

Quintas Capital has also confirmed that its 2025 EIIS Fund is on track to surpass €12 million, and that it will close to new investor applications once it reaches a total of €15 million underlining the firm’s commitment to sustainable, high-potential projects like The Hive.

The Hive is scheduled to open its doors on 17 th December 2025, with bookings to be available via its dedicated app and website. As Cork City’s first purpose-built indoor padel facility, The Hive is set to become a central destination for sport, wellness and social engagement in the city.
