SE Systems Strengthens Ties with Cork Camogie as New Sustainability Partner

SE Systems has reaffirmed its dedication to community and climate by renewing its collaboration with Cork Camogie for another three years, now stepping into a new role as the organisation’s Official Sustainability Partner.

This expanded partnership builds on years of shared progress, with continued support for both the Adult and Minor County Championships, and introduces a bold sustainability agenda to help future-proof Cork Camogie’s facilities and support local clubs.

Driving Real Change Through Partnership

The renewed alliance was launched at Cork Camogie’s Blackrock headquarters, where County Board members and club captains gathered to mark the occasion and look ahead to what’s to come.

As part of this next phase, SE Systems will lead a significant energy upgrade at the Castle Road Pavilion. The project will include an energy audit, SEAI-backed grant support, and the installation of solar panels and EV chargers – all delivered at no cost to the County Board. The goal? Reduce energy use and strengthen the Pavilion’s long-term sustainability.

Investing in Female Sport and Local Communities

SE Systems is proud to continue backing Cork Camogie – a cornerstone in the development of women’s sport in Ireland. Recognising the visibility and funding gaps that still exist, the company is committed to supporting female athletes and community-based clubs in practical, impactful ways.

This includes a new solar fundraising initiative that links domestic solar installations to grassroots funding. For every installation connected to a club, €1,000 will be donated – €500 to the local club and €500 to Cork Camogie. It’s a win-win for local sport and climate action.

Shared Vision, Shared Impact

John O’Leary, Co-founder and CEO of SE Systems, shared his thoughts on the partnership:
“We’re delighted to extend our relationship with Cork Camogie. This is about more than sponsorship – it’s about using our knowledge and resources to create long-term benefits for sport and sustainability in our region.”

Cork Camogie Chairperson, Pádraig Treacy, echoed that sentiment:
“SE Systems is helping us take meaningful steps forward – from the Pavilion upgrades to the new fundraising model. Their commitment sets an example for how sport and sustainability can work hand in hand.”

Looking to the Future

This extended partnership forms part of SE Systems’ broader mission to support communities, promote female participation in sport, and contribute to Ireland’s sustainable energy goals.

With three more years ahead, SE Systems and Cork Camogie are ready to deliver even more positive impact on the pitch, in local communities, and for the climate.
