Veolia has achieved the Business Working Responsibly Mark

Veolia in Ireland has been accredited for the fourth time with the prestigious Business Working Responsibly Mark, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.

Established in 2010 by Business in the Community Ireland, the Business Working Responsibly Mark (‘the Mark’) is Ireland’s Economic, Environmental, Social, and Governance (EESG) standard. Independently verified by the National Standards Authority of Ireland, it is the standard for sustainability that goes beyond legal compliance by fostering a culture of responsible business through continuous improvement, ongoing accountability, and leadership.

Achieving the Mark successfully hinges on Veolia's commitment to:

  • Economic Impact: Creating a positive and sustainable economic footprint
  • Environmental Impact: Responsibly managing total environmental footprint across all operations and throughout the value chain
  • Social Engagement: Engaging effectively with key social stakeholders
  • Governance: Implementing robust governance procedures

Decision making based on Multifaceted Performance

Veolia is committed to giving the same level of attention to its financial and non-financial performance dimensions. What this means in practice is that we give equal consideration to the impact of our business decisions on five stakeholder groups:

  • employees,
  • customers,
  • shareholders,
  • representatives of society, and
  • the planet.
Veolia’s success in being reaccredited is based on the successful implementation of multifaceted performance in Ireland and matching it with the EESG reporting model.
