Griffith College Cork's Certificate in Mediation (QQI Level 8, Special Purpose Award) introduces learners to mediation as an alternative form of dispute resolution. This course provides an understanding of mediation as a career, as an alternative to litigation and introduces the mediation process. The Certificate in Mediation is run via blended learning meaning there is a combination of both online and in-class teaching and learning.
The aim of the Certificate in Mediation is to ensure that the student will be a confident, highly effective and self-reflective mediator with advanced knowledge of the principles of mediation and the mediation process.
Our Certificate in Mediation is validated by QQI and is a Level 8, Special Purpose Award on the National Framework of Qualifications.
Students will gain experience in a growing sector preparing them for a career in alternative dispute resolution.
Learners will acquire highly transferable skills attractive to a wide range of business sectors.
Our lecturers are experienced mediators,?academics and conflict management trainers with years’ of experience in both practice and training.
The course takes place over four months (1 semester), with materials available in class and through our Moodle service.
The Certificate in Mediation at Griffith College is recognised by Mediators Institute of Ireland (MII).?
