Growing Culture: Public roundtable on the Creative and Culinary Arts
The Glucksman is delighted to present a public roundtable that considers how art and gastronomy converge through culture, local heritage and creative approaches to marketing and tourism. Including presentations by JP McMahon, award-winning chef at Aniar Galway, author, and founder of Food on the Edge; Michelle Darmody, founder of the Cake Cafe and columnist with the Irish Examiner; Rebecca Harte of the Farmgate in Cork, whose Women of the South series created conversations on revolutionary women throughout 2016, Rory O'Connell, award-winning chef, author and Festival Director of Ballymaloe Lit Fest, and Claire Nash, of Nash 19 in Cork City which has housed a contemporary art gallery Sternview since 2014.
This event will provide an opportunity to learn from these innovative food thinkers about the exciting synergies possible between the culinary and creative arts.
