The Importance of Mental Health Routines

The Importance of Mental Health Routines

A mental health routine is a set of activities or tasks that we can complete each day that aid our mental health. These tasks can be anything and depend on the individual. The idea is that we have a set of things that we know to work for us, so that when we do experience mental health issues we have a routine to fall back on to steady the ship.
During this talk Darragh will discuss:

  • The difference between mental health and mental illness
  • What a mental health routine is
  • How mental and physical health depend on each other
  • Things we can include in our mental health routines
Daragh Fleming is an author as well as the owner of the mental health blog 'Thoughts Too Big'. He talks openly about his own mental health and ways to navigate through daily mental health issues, as well as exploring ways to improve and maintain wellbeing.
