UCC Women In Law Forum 2019

UCC Law Society is delighted to launch it's 2019 Women In Law Forum.
 
The Forum is central to the topic of gender equality and womens progression in the workplace.
 
The format of the Forum will be presented in two main panel discussions, entitled;
1. How Women have Contributed to Shaping The Law in Ireland Today.
Speakers include :
Senator Alice Mary Higgins
Ailbhe Smyth (Founder of WERRC)
Margaret Martin (Director of Women's Aid)
Fiona Finn (CEO of NASC)
 
 
2. The 'Glass Ceiling' Structural Mechanism with regards Women attaining Senior Positions in the Legal Sphere.
Speakers include:
Justice Mary Ellen Ring
Eileen Roberts (Partner of A&L Goodbody)
Dr.Myra Cullinane (Dublin City Coroner)
Prof. Irene Lynch Fannon (UCC School of Law)
 
This year we are giving the proceeds of tickets to The Sexual Violence Centre Cork. We are delighted to honour the truly invaluable service offered by the Centre and strongly encourage all donations.
 
The Forum is completely open to the public and everyone can attend, student or otherwise.
