About Us
The Mardyke Arena UCC is a world class sports and fitness facility based in Cork. A fitness and training home to many of Ireland’s elite sportspeople, thousands of young students, business professionals, families and children, the Mardyke Arena UCC appeals to the widest cross section of Cork’s population.
The Arena is the first and only facility of its kind in Ireland to be accredited with major international business standards ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO50001 Energy Management Systems Standard, as well as existing ISO90001 for Quality Management and OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health & Safety Systems. These standards along with other awards by the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) and Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG) demonstrate the commitment to excellence at the Arena and the dedication of our staff when it comes to delivering excellence at every level.
The Mardyke Arena UCC is an approved training centre for delivery of National Training Centre and Royal Lifesaving Society formal qualifications. The Arena is also accredited by Swim Ireland as an approved centre for the delivery of Swim Teacher and Assistant Swim Teacher qualifications.
