Volunteer with SERVE in Mozambique – Make a Real Impact!

SERVE is a Cork-based development and volunteering organisation committed to tackling poverty in the Global South. We are excited to partner with Young Africa Mozambique, a leading organisation in life skills, technical, and vocational training (TVET), to offer a hands-on, life-changing volunteer experience. Since 2008, SERVE and Young Africa have been delivering innovative youth projects focused on TVET, life skills, and practical youthwork – and now it’s your turn to get involved.

Where You’ll Be:

  • Manga Campus, near Beira – home for most activities.

  • Dondo Agri-Tech Campus – focused on agriculture and technical projects

Both campuses deliver practical youth programs, life skills, and technical training initiatives.

Volunteer Roles Include:

  • Construction & Renovation: Mix cement, lay bricks, dig foundations, and build learning spaces like an outdoor porch at Manga Campus. Construction or engineering experience is an advantage.

  • Youth & Community Activities: Lead sports days, art workshops, and community festivals.

  • Support Young Africa Initiatives: Assist with solar panel technology, agriculture projects, and educational programming.

  • Specialist Skills Needed: TEFL and classroom teachers, PE and sports coaches, youthworkers, artists, agriculture enthusiasts, safeguarding/childcare professionals, and Portuguese speakers (not essential).
