Are you an Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Music Therapist, or Social Sciences & Youth Work professional ready to take your skills global? Join SERVE’s Volunteer Programme in Bangalore, India, Summer 2026 and make a lasting difference with the Association of People with Disability (APD). SERVE is a Cork based development and volunteering organisation committed to tackling poverty in the Global South. 

Since 1959, APD has worked to build an inclusive society where people with disabilities can live with dignity, respect, and opportunity. Now, they need your help! 

What you’ll do: ? Support integrated education – Teach and run workshops for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. ? Contribute to therapeutic services – Engage in physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other therapies to improve well-being. ? Promote disability awareness – Join community outreach projects to reduce stigma and advocate for rights.

Programme Details: 

• Training: Essential pre departure and post departure training sessions covering; global citizenship education, country info, health & safety, safeguarding, and more. 

• Placement: 4-week assignment in July 2026 with other volunteers and 2 experienced leaders, partnering with 2 local organisations in India. 

• Support: SERVE is a signatory to Comhlámh’s Code of Good Practice for Volunteer Sending Agencies. As a signatory to this code, SERVE is committed to implementing the best practice model in sending volunteers overseas and ensuring they are fully supported before, during and after their placement.
