Position Overview:
Due to expanding growth we are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify growth opportunities, build strategic relationships, and drive revenue growth across our commercial, community, and Energy Consultancy Services. This role focuses on client acquisition, partnerships, and outbound business development activities while collaborating with the marketing team to ensure alignment with promotional strategies and brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
National Representation:
· Act as a key representative of the company, promoting our services nationally and enhancing brand recognition through direct client engagement and strategic partnerships.
Business Development & Lead Conversion:
- Identify and pursue high-value opportunities, including new clients, partnerships, and market segments, and support their development across commercial, community, and Energy Consultancy Services services.
- · Focus on outbound efforts to engage with prospects, qualify leads, and convert them into revenue-generating opportunities.
Strategic Partnerships:
· Build and maintain relationships with industry organisations, stakeholders, and partners to enhance the company’s presence and create growth opportunities.
Collaboration with Marketing:
· Collaborate closely with the marketing team to leverage campaigns, content, and promotional materials to support business development efforts.
· Offer feedback from client interactions and market insights to guide future marketing strategies and campaigns.
Lead Generation & Conversion:
· This position positions the BDM as responsible for outbound efforts and lead qualification/conversion, with marketing focusing on inbound campaigns and awareness.
Collaboration with Marketing:
· Emphasises how marketing provides resources (tools, content, promotion), while the BDM uses these to convert leads and offer market insights.
Event and Industry Engagement:
· Differentiates marketing’s role in promotion and branding from the BDM’s focus on networking and relationship building.
Market Feedback Loop:
· Introduces a mechanism for the BDM to share client insights, helping to refine marketing strategies.
Industry Engagement:
· Attend and represent the company at trade shows, webinars, conferences, and events to build relationships and expand the company’s network.
· Collaborate with marketing to ensure event promotion and branding are consistent with the company’s messaging.
Thought Leadership & Brand Building:
· Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by participating in webinars, panel discussions, and award submissions in collaboration with marketing.
Proposal Development:
· Develop tailored proposals, pitches, and presentations that address the specific needs of prospective clients and partners.
Market Exploration & Intelligence:
· Research and explore new markets, industries, and sectors to identify growth opportunities. Share field insights and client feedback with marketing to align strategies.
Reporting:
· Track business development activities, including market trends, lead conversion rates, and sales performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of lead qualification, client engagement, and outbound business development strategies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to align business development and branding efforts.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, sales software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: €29,629.47-€72,496.27 per year
